Privacy Policy — Meeting Chat Saver

2. What the extension stores

Meeting Chat Saver stores only the information needed to create and display your local Google Meet chat history:

• Google Meet chat messages, including the sender name, message text, and timestamp.
• Meeting codes and meeting links used to group conversations.
• Meeting titles, including custom titles you create.
• Participant profile-picture URLs shown by Google Meet.

All of this information is stored only in the browser’s local extension storage, using chrome.storage.local, on the user’s own computer.

3. What the extension does not do

Meeting Chat Saver has no external servers and makes no network requests of its own. It does not use analytics or trackers, show ads, create user accounts, set cookies, or sell, share, or transfer data to third parties.

4. Permissions explained

• Storage: used to save meeting chats and settings locally in the browser.
• Access to meet.google.com pages: used to read chat messages that Google Meet displays on the page while you are in a meeting.

These permissions are used only for the extension features described on this site.

5. Data retention and deletion

Saved data remains in local extension storage until you delete a meeting from the extension popup or uninstall Meeting Chat Saver. Uninstalling the extension removes all of its locally stored data. Export any chats you want to keep before uninstalling.

6. Other meeting participants

Meeting conversations can include messages from other people. Users are responsible for complying with applicable local laws, workplace policies, meeting rules, and any notice or consent requirements when saving conversations.

7. Changes to this policy and contact

If the extension’s privacy practices change, this policy will be updated and the “Last updated” date will be revised. Material changes will be described clearly and will not be hidden behind vague wording.
